Rescue boats head toward U.S. Army Reserve paratroopers in Biscayne Bay, Miami-Dade County, as they complete their Deliberate Water Jump. The U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) Paratroopers were participating in the jump as a conclusion to the Army Reserve Airborne Safety Equipment and Evaluation Council held Nov 16-19, 2021, in Homestead, Florida.
The weeklong event, hosted by the 478th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), Perrine, Florida, included a Jumpmaster Refresher course, the AR-ASEEC, airborne operations executed at Homestead Air Reserve Base, and the Deliberate Water Jump which involved coordination with several outside agencies including the Coast Guard, and Miami-Dade Police, Fire and Rescue and Parks Department.
