Maj. Koani, 203rd Air Refueling Squadron pilot, signs his name inside the wheel well of a KC-135R Stratotanker April 30, 2022, before its final flight at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, Ohio. The Stratotanker, numbered 60-0329, has been an integral part of the 203rd Air Refueling Squadron since forming in 1993 and is recognized for conducting the world's first tri-level refueling during the Vietnam conflict. Hawaii Air National Guard Airmen flew the aircraft to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, so that it may become the first Stratotanker inducted into the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
