Lt. Col. Kelly Church, 203rd Air Refueling Squadron commander, and his co-pilot Maj. Koani Lau, fly a KC-135R Stratotanker April 30, 2022, toward Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The crew embarked on the aircraft's final flight, whereafter the jet was inducted as the first Stratotanker in the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The Stratotanker, numbered 60-0329, is recognized as the first refueling platform to be awarded the McKay Trophy in 1967, an honor reserved for aviators who demonstrate the highest skill levels by performing the 'most meritorious flight of the year.
