Retired Senior Master Sgt. Jack Barnes, and Senior Master Sgt. Paul Foster, 154th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief step away from a historic KC-135 Stratotanker April 30, 2022, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Barnes was assigned to the same aircraft for three years and supported its most high-profile mission in 1967, which is believed to have saved the lives of several U.S. Navy pilots. The Stratotanker, numbered 60-0329, was inducted into the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force after completing an operational career of more than 60 years.
