Maj. Gen. Mike Oates, 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum commander - along with 10th Mtn. Div. Command Sgt. Maj. James Redmore - thank Soldiers of the division's 1st Brigade Combat Team for their hard work and dedication. The 1st BCT deployed to the Kirkuk province of northeastern Iraq in September, 2007, when they began a 15-month combat tour. Oates and Redmore visited with Soldiers throughout the 1st BCT Jan. 24th and 25th; recognizing their efforts and giving them updates on the state of the division.
