GARDEN ISLAND, Australia (Nov. 30, 2022) – U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Mississippi (SSN 782), Sailors assigned to Navy Munitions Command East Asia Division Unit Guam, and explosive ordnance support personnel from Thales Australia participate in a weapons-handling training exercise with a Tomahawk Land Attack Missile training shape aboard the submarine while moored at HMAS Stirling Navy Base on Garden Island, Nov. 30. Mississippi conducted expeditionary reload training with the Royal Australian Navy at HMAS Stirling to enhance interoperability and communication and strengthen enduring partnerships.
