GARDEN ISLAND, Australia (Dec. 1, 2022) – U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Mississippi (SSN 782) and explosive ordnance support personnel from Thales Australia lower an inert Tomahawk missile training shape into the submarine while moored at HMAS Stirling Navy Base on Garden Island, Dec. 1. Mississippi conducted expeditionary reload training at HMAS Stirling, Australia, to enhance interoperability and communication, and strengthen relationships with the Royal Australian Navy.
