GARDEN ISLAND, Australia (Dec. 2, 2022) – Marc Trei and Mike Williams, from Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport’s Countermeasure In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), lead a hands-on demonstration of assembling a six-inch countermeasure for personnel from the Royal Australian Navy Submarine Force, explosive ordnance support personnel from Thales, Australia, and Joint Explosive Ordnance Support-Western Australia personnel at HMAS Stirling Navy Base on Garden Island, Dec. 2. NUWC Keyport personnel were in Australia supporting the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Mississippi (SSN 782) expeditionary reload training at HMAS Stirling to enhance interoperability and communication, and strengthen relationships with the Royal Australian Navy.
