GARDEN ISLAND, Australia (Nov. 30, 2022) – U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Mississippi (SSN 782), Navy Munitions Command East Asia Division Unit Guam, Commander, Submarine Squadron 1, and explosive ordnance support personnel from Thales Australia secure a Capsule Loading System (CLS) platform to the submarine during a weapons-handling training exercise with a Tomahawk Land Attack Missile training shape aboard the submarine while moored at HMAS Stirling Navy Base on Garden Island, Nov. 30. Mississippi conducted expeditionary reload training with the Royal Australian Navy at HMAS Stirling to enhance interoperability and communication and strengthen enduring partnerships.
