U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force World Class Athlete Program’s 1st Lt. Leanne Singleton-Comfort and her fencing coach engage in a fencing assault during training in preparation to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Singleton-Comfort, a three-time All-American in women's saber during her collegiate career, is one of the most decorated women fencers in Air Force fencing history. Established in 1995, Air Force WCAP, managed by the Air Force Services Center, continues the legacy of Tuskegee Airman Malvin G. Whitfield. Whitfield, a Korean War tail gunner, became the first active-duty American service member to win Olympic gold in 1952 in Helsinki. (U.S. Air Force photo by Craig Z. Rodarte)
