U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The U.S. Air Force Academy Chapel’s 17 spires that are 150 feet tall and currently under repair. The chapel is encased in a tensioned-fabric protective cocoon to allow construction during inclement weather. This National Historic Landmark is an all-faith center of worship that serves the diverse spiritual needs of Academy cadets and faculty with Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist chapels, as well as worship areas for smaller religious groups.
