U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force World Class Athlete Program’s A1C Mitchell Brown, and Joe Johnston, USAFA Wrestling associate head coach, participate in a roll around during WCAP training in preparation to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Brown joined the Air Force in 2021 after competing in the Big XXII for two years and completing a religious-mission trip to Germany prior to attending Utah Valley University. Established in 1995, Air Force WCAP, managed by the Air Force Services Center, continues the legacy of Tuskegee Airman Malvin G. Whitfield. Whitfield, a Korean War tail gunner, became the first active-duty American service member to win Olympic gold in 1952 in Helsinki. (U.S. Air Force photo by Craig Z. Rodarte)
