Jessica Ames, a food service specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, opens a bottle of wine in preparation for the Chef of the Year competition Thursday at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Chow Hall. Ames, a local of Ocean City, Md., won the Chef of the Quarter completion on March 22.
