30 June, 2023 (VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia) Chief Engineman John Moultrie III rings onboard the official party during a change of command ceremony for Commander Jeffery Margalus and Commander David “Joey” Vitollo onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story. Commander Margalus served as Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron TWO’s (MSRON TWO) Commanding Officer from April 2022 to June 2023. MSRON TWO was established in the wake of the bombing of the USS Cole (DDG-67) and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks with the primary goal of providing anti-terrorism defense for American assets around the globe using well-trained and highly mobile security forces.
