30 June, 2023 (VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia) Commanding Offcier, Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron TWO (MSRON TWO), Commander David “Joey” Vitollo is rendered honors following the MSRON TWO change of command ceremony onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story. Commander Jeffery Margalus, was relieved by Commander David “Joey” Vitollo as Commanding Officer of MSRON TWO. MSRON TWO was established in the wake of the bombing of the USS Cole (DDG-67) and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks with the primary goal of providing anti-terrorism defense for American assets around the globe using well-trained and highly mobile security forces.
