CAMP KATUU Palau, (August 8, 2023) - Rear Adm. Gregory Huffman visits service members stationed on Palau as part of the Civic Action Team (CAT). The CAT is a tri-service rotation between the U.S. Navy, Army, and Air Force with the mission to provide a wide range of professional services in Palau, from construction and apprenticeship training, to community events and medical assistance. The outgoing team, U.S. Air Force 36-06, gave him a tour of the facilities and shared their insights on the programs offered by the CAT.
Huffman conducted the familiarization tour of the region at the beginning of August. As the senior military official of the region,
Huffman serves as the commander of Joint Region Marianas, U.S. Naval Forces Marianas, and is the Defense Representative to Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Republic of Palau, and Federated States of Micronesia.
