USAID, in collaboration with the Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA), has played a pivotal role in improving Iraq's agricultural sector, specifically in Ninewa.
Challenges faced by local farmers, like limited access to modern techniques and inadequate business skills, have impacted fodder production and the broader economy.
USAID provided focused training and support to 80 farmers, equipping them with skills, knowledge, and tools to maximize their potential, livelihoods, and run sustainable businesses.
"I always thought that I knew everything until I was enrolled in this training and acquired knowledge and information on how to avoid losing the crops due to too much or too little water, and how many seeds need to be planted. I would like to thank USAID for this initiative and the support that it provided to all farmers in this region." Said one of the farmers.
