The power of unity! Passionate young men and women from Nasiriyah, Mosul, Diwaniyah, and Basra are working together for a common cause in the Our Heritage Our Identity campaign launched by the USAID-funded Ta’afi program. The campaign included cleaning, rehabilitating, and installing lighting in four significant archaeological sites. Together, we aim to safeguard these precious sites from extinction and ensure their legacy lives on.
The campaign includes:
- Al Ashar Church in Basra by the Durarul Iraq Association for Humanitarian Development.
- The Heritage Museum in Diwaniyah by Awan Organization.
- Hatra temple in Nineveh by Khloha Ajmal Association.
- Orozdi Heritage Street in Dhi Qar by the local youth group Hathe Lesat - Qomamti, Lakneh Watne (meaning "It's not my trash, but it is my country")
These extraordinary individuals remind us of the power of unity and the importance of preserving our cultural treasures.
