Joan Ruttle-King was presented with the Military Health System 2023 Civilian Nursing Leadership Excellence, senior division for the U.S. Army, by Dr. Lester Martinez-Lopez, assistant secretary of defense for health affairs; U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Telita Crosland, DHA director; and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Tanya Y. Johnson, senior enlisted leader for the DHA. Ruttle-King is medical services portfolio manager for the U.S. Army Medical Command. The awards were presented on Feb. 15 in National Harbor, Maryland.
