U.S. Navy Capt. Juliann Althoff was presented with the Military Health System 2023 Award for the Advancement of Women Physicians in Military Medicine – senior winner, by Dr. Lester Martinez-Lopez, assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, and U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Darin Via, U.S. Navy surgeon general, on Feb. 15 in National Harbor, Maryland. Althoff is commanding officer at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island at Oak Harbor, Washington.
