U.S. Navy Lt. Christopher Jones was presented with the Military Health System 2023 Military Nursing Leadership Award – senior winner, by Dr. Lester Martinez-Lopez, assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, and U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Darin Via, U.S. Navy surgeon general, on Feb. 15 in National Harbor, Maryland. Jones is currently a critical care nurse in the 2nd medical battalion, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.
