Peruvian Coast Guardsmen prepare to board a Naval vessel during a search and rescue (SAR) training scenario as part of exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 west of Ancón, Peru, May 31, 2024. After boarding a distressed vessel, the PCG retrieved a simulated injured patient and transported it back to their ship to deliver to a local hospital. The PCG utilized the U.S. Coast Guard’s self-locating datum marker buoy (SLDMB) to receive real-time current patterns in the area. This combined, joint force exercise focuses on building strong partnerships with our partner nation militaries so they are always ready to work together, whatever challenges they may face.
