Peruvian Coast Guard personnel take down a light from the bow of B.A.P. Rio Pativilca, maritime patrol vessel, while leaving Callao Port in Lima, Peru, for search and rescue (SAR) training as part of exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024, May 31, 2024. While anchored in ports, the PCG attaches lights to the bow and stern so other vessels can determine the length of the ship in low light conditions. Prior to the SAR scenario, the PCG and U.S. Coast Guard shared tactics, techniques, and procedures with each other to strengthen SAR capabilities in the Pacific. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
