Staff Sgt. Jacob Currie grills steaks for guardsmen outdoors using a newly acquired ESPEK (Expandable Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen) at Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore., on Aug. 3, 2024. The ESPEK (Expandable Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen) enabled 142nd Force Support Squadron Airmen to provide lunch for wing guardsmen. Babington Technology invented the ESPEK, which allows for faster assembly time, thirty minutes by four people, and can sustain feeding 550 troops in a field environment.
