Staff Sgt. Job Smith, a CH-47 Chinook engineer stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., leans out of the helicopter's open side door, Aug. 4 to help guide the pilot while a group of 390th Seaport Operations Company soldiers were attaching a sling load. For most of the soldiers conducting the training, this was the first time they had ever attached a load to a helicopter outside of a school environment.
