Japanese Senior Vice Foreign Minister Seiko Hashimoto arrives in As Samawah, Iraq with British Lt. Gen. John Cooper, the Deputy Commanding General for Multi-National Force-Iraq, for the opening of a new power plant. This 60 megawatt power plant was sponsored by the Japanese Provincial Reconstruction Team of Muthanna province and will provide much needed electricity to southern Iraq.
