A local shepherd evacuate his sheep from a helicopter landing zone before the arrival of Japanese Senior Vice Foreign Minister Seiko Hashimoto. She is in Muthanna province for the grand opening of a new power plant in As Samawah, Iraq. This 60 megawatt power plant was sponsored by the Japanese Provincial Reconstruction Team of Muthanna province and will provide much needed electricity to southern Iraq.
