In this work from the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program 2015 Collection, “Guns up for Inspection,” ID# 201511, a Coast Guardsman inspects a recently cleaned .50 caliber machine gun aboard the USCGC Beluga (WPB 87325) at Base Portsmouth in Virginia. Home ported in Little Creek, Virginia, the Beluga is an 87-foot coastal patrol boat, and its primary missions include search and rescue, homeland security and law enforcement.
