In this work from the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program 2015 Collection, “The Interdiction,” ID# 201515, a member of a Law Enforcement Detachment performs a security sweep aboard a tanker in the North Arabian Gulf. Established in 1982, the detachments are specialized, maritime law enforcement teams that deploy aboard U.S. and allied naval vessels to conduct and support maritime law enforcement, drug interdiction and security operations.
