GREAT LAKES, Ill., (August 7, 2015) – Command Master Chief Leon R. Walker Jr., (center) salutes during the national anthem at the beginning of his retirement ceremony in the Recruit Training Command (RTC) Recruit Memorial Chapel here, Aug. 7. Joining Walker on stage was Fleet Master Chief April Beldo (right), the guest speaker, and Senior Chief Quartermaster Jonathan Rivera, who gave the invocation and benediction. Walker’s last command was as the command master chief for Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) and he retires after 32 years of service in the United States Navy.
