    GREAT LAKES, Ill., (August 7, 2015) – Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Damien Smith (right) and Yeoman 3rd Class Calvin Render fold a flag 13 times during “13 Folds” at a retirement ceremony for Command Master Chief Leon R. Walker Jr. (sitting with retired Cmdr. Robert Sullivan, former executive officer of Naval Station Great Lakes) in the Recruit Training Command (RTC) Recruit Memorial Chapel here, Aug. 7. Walker was CMC of Naval Station Great Lakes when Sullivan was the executive officer. “13 Folds” was explained by Senior Chief Operations Specialist Samira McBride. Walker’s last command was as the command master chief for Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) and he retires after 32 years of service in the United States Navy.
