NORFOLK, Va. (Apr. 8, 2016) – Chief petty officers assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) salute Master Chief Ship's Serviceman Kenneth Carter as he goes ashore for the last time at the conclusion of his retirement at Vista Point Conference Center at Naval Station Norfolk. Carter retired after 30 years of service in the Navy, originally reporting to Recruit Training Command in Orlando, Florida, in 1986.
