MINNEAPOLIS (May 26, 2016) Sailors assigned to the Navy Operational Support Center Minneapolis perform the dignified transfer of the remains of Motor Machinist’s Mate 1st Class John E. Anderson. Anderson was killed in action in Landing Craft Tank (LCT) 30 on Normandy Beach June 6, 1944, and his remains were recently identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and returned to his family for burial.
