U.S. Army Sgt. Tiera Eldred, of the Alaska Army National Guard, holds security at a simulated United Nations protected site May 26, while participating in the lane training program of Khaan Quest 2016. This is one of eleven lanes the multinational platoons are rotating through during the exercise where participants are exposed to a variety of training scenarios they could face while supporting UN peacekeeping missions. Khaan Quest 2016 is an annual, multinational peacekeeping operations exercise hosted by the Mongolian Armed Forces, co-sponsored by U.S. Pacific Command, and supported by U.S. Army Pacific and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. Khaan Quest, in its 14th iteration, is the capstone exercise for this year’s Global Peace Operations Initiative program. Edlred is assigned to 297th Military Police Company, Alaska National Guard and an Anchorage, Alaska, native. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Janessa K. Pon)
