160530-N-VQ947-028 YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 30, 2016) Sailors from air department fold the national ensign during evening colors on the flight deck of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The flag is folded 13 times into a triangle. Each fold is symbolic of an American value. The seventh fold is a tribute to our armed forces. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
