161012-N-XQ474-085 WATERS SURROUNDING THE KOREAN PENINSULA (Oct. 12, 2016) Seaman Matthew Scott fires an M9 service pistol during a small arms weapons qualification course on the flight deck aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) as part of Invincible Spirit 2016. Invincible Spirit is a bilateral exercise conducted with the Republic of Korea Navy in the waters near the Korean Peninsula consisting of routine carrier strike group operations in support of maritime counter-special operating forces and integrated maritime operations. Chancellorsville is on patrol with Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
