ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 30, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Kyle Sprague, left, from Hollywood, Md., teaches Seaman David Christopher, from Pallo, Pa., how to properly inspect the rudder of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Swamp Foxes of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74 in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Sprague and Christopher serve aboard Ike as aviation structural mechanics and are responsible for general maintenance and overall troubleshooting for the helicopter. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
