ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 27, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Drake Chamberlin, from Burlington, Vt., removes belly panels from a spotting dolly in order to conduct maintenance on a hydraulic and oil leak in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Chamberlin serves aboard Ike as an aviation support equipment technician and helps inspect, repair and maintain Ike's aircraft support vehicles and equipment. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
