160929-N-QL471-197 SAN FRANCISCO (Sept. 29, 2016) Merchant mariners aboard the fast sealift ship Capella perform an anchor test as a part of its 120-hour turbo activation. The U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) conducts turbo activation to measure personnel and material readiness of the selected Ready Reserve Force. Capella, an over 40-year-old steam ship, is still among the fastest cargo ships in the world and capable to transport nearly all equipment needed to outfit a full mechanized brigade of the U.S. Army.
