Minnesota Vikings fan Staff Sgt. Susan German, a Fridley, Minn. native and member of the 122nd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, was only one of two Soldiers at the Camp Union I morale, welfare and recreation center to stay up into the early morning hours Monday to witness her team manhandle the Green Bay Packers 31-17 in their playoff game. The recreation center at the camp features a wide-screen television for troops to catch their favorite programs. NFL football is very popular, especially with German. (When I?m home, I fly my Vikings flag every game day,) she said. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. John Queen, 3rd Brigade Combat Team Public Affairs)
