COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (March 28, 2017) A U.S. Marine with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), observes a Sri Lankan Marine demonstrate proper manipulation of the M4 service rifle during weapons skills familiarization held at the port of Colombo as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, March 28. The engagement allows for the U.S. and Sri Lankan Armed Forces to strengthen partnerships based on common interests relating to maritime security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness, and security and stability within the region.
