COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (March 28, 2017) A U.S. Marine with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), explains proper manipulation of the M4 service rifle to a Sri Lankan Marine during weapons skills familiarization held at the port of Colombo as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, March 28. Over the span of the engagement, Marines and Sailors with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU, will participate in military training events, sharing tactics and procedures to build camaraderie, enhance communication and coordination, and work to develop best practices between the partner nations’ militaries.
