Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) augmentees, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Stephen Dobbins, left, and U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Thomas Jorgensen, break up clumps of soil at an excavation site in Quang Binh province, Vietnam, Aug. 13, 2017. Both service members were deployed by DPAA as part of a recovery team searching for the remains of two Marine aviators that were lost in a night-time, armed reconnaissance mission during the Vietnam War. Dobbins is an explosive ordnance disposal team leader assigned to the 36th Civil Engineer Squadron and is stationed at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Jorgensen is a deep-sea diving medical technician assigned to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 1 and is stationed at Naval Base San Diego, Calif.
