171002-N-CL027-033 HONG KONG HARBOR (Oct. 2, 2017) – Deck department Sailors release the brake of the port anchor in the forecastle of the Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), as the ship anchors off the coast of China prior to a scheduled port visit in Hong Kong. The port visit comes after routine operations in the South China Sea. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
