170929-N-TR141-0212 LUZON STRAIT (Sept. 29, 2017) Quartermaster 2nd Class John Passananti, from Tucson, Ariz., assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90), takes a line of position from the sun with a marine sextant. Chafee is part of the U.S. 3rd Fleet and U.S. Naval Surface Forces, currently deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility on a routine scheduled deployment.
