170928-N-KW492-303 CARIBBEAN SEA (Sept. 28, 2017) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Fernando Hinostroza directs an MH-60S Sea Hawk as it drops supplies transferred from the fast combat support ship USNS Supply (T-AOE 6) onto the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during a replenishment-at-sea for continuing operations in Puerto Rico. Kearsarge is assisting with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting FEMA, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
