U.S. Army soldiers assigned to 2nd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, from Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Wash., build a road obstruction for use in a simulated force-on-force exercise against the U.S. Marines from Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, at Talisman Sabre 2011. TS11 is a biennial training event aimed at improving and validating the Australian Defence Force and the United States combat readiness and interoperability as a joint task force.
