U.S. Army soldiers assigned to 2nd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, from Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Wash., move a log into place to create a road obstacle for the U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, in a simulated in-the-field force-on-force exercise at Talisman Sabre 2011. TS11 is a biennial training event aimed at improving and validating the Australian Defence Force and the United States combat readiness and interoperability as a joint task force.
