BERING SEA – U.S. Coast Guard Seaman Charlie Cabe tends a rope connected to a crane hook Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB-20) in the Bering Sea. The crew of the Healy anchored the ship near Nome, Alaska, in order to take on additional scientific equipment for deployment in the Arctic. The Healy is one of two ice breakers in U.S. service and is the only military ship dedicated to conducting ice research in the Arctic.
