BERING SEA – Crew members aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB-20) control the release of the ship's anchor Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, in the Bering Sea. The crew anchored near Nome, Alaska, in order to take on additional scientific equipment for deployment in the Arctic. The Healy is one of two ice breakers in U.S. service and is the only military ship dedicated to conducting ice research in the Arctic.
